Urban Decay – Naked 3 Swatches and Review

naked_3_1_2

This is the 3rd of 4 swatches and reviews of the Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3 and Naked Smoky palettes. They will be posted weekly and you can read the first one on the first Naked palette here. And the second installment of the Naked 2 palette here.

I got this palette a little over a year ago as a x-mas present. After the Naked palette, which I have had the longest out of the four, this is the palette that I have used the most since I got it. I love most of the shades in it here they are:

Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin
Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter
Burnout (light pinky-peach satin)
Limit (light dusty rose matte)
Buzz (metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter)
Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle)

Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte)
Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer)
Factory (pinky-brown satin)
Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift)
Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin)
Blackheart (smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle)

As I mentioned above I love most of the shades and I have reached for this palette for weeks on end. If I had to choose one favorite shade out of all of the shades in this palette, it would have to be Burnout. I’m pretty sure I will hit pan on this one in the future.

My least favorite would have to be Dust, Factory, Darkside, Blackheart.

Dust is really pretty and is a great highlighter shade, but it feels a little bit glittery and doesn’t go on as smooth as most of the other shades in the palette.

Factory is my least favorite. The color is beautiful, but the texture is dry and crumbly, so there is a lot of fallout.

Darkside is not bad but it feels a little rough, but it is a wonderful color. I have the the Naked 24/7 Glide-on double-ended eye pencil in Darkside / Blackheart and I love the Darkesided end of the pencil. I use it a lot to line my lower lash line.

Blackheart is a shade I don’t quite get. I’m just not as big a fan of the red glitter. It’s hardly visible when you put the eyeshadow on and I think I would have preferred a dark matte color instead. The red glitter was also very hard to capture in photos.
